Katherine Becker is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and is Certified in Healthcare Compliance and Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance through the Health Care Compliance Association and a Certified Professional Coder through the AAPC. Her experience includes analyzing the effect of new legal developments on clients’ business interests; experience she uses to help Acevedo Consulting’s clients in navigating the compliance risks inherent in health care reform.
Katherine uses her background in health care and law to assist clients in developing and maintaining
compliance and HIPAA programs. She also works with Accountable Care Organizations offering guidance as they develop and maintain compliance for participation in the Medicare Shared Savings Program.

As Medicare shifts from a Fee-for-Service payment system to Quality Payment Programs, organizations have recognized the importance of quality metrics on their Part B reimbursement. Katherine has expertly guided the firm’s clients towards successful reporting of quality measures. Her extensive knowledge of the extremely complicated Medicare Quality Payment Program is often sought after to help educate Part B providers and their administration. This includes the invitation to be an AAPC subject matter expert on CMS’s Quality Payment Program and being a frequent lecturer for several medical societies and specialty physician organizations.
